About Morgan van Vliet MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor (#11136)
Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor
I've been told that I'm easy to talk to and my goal is that you would feel safe and warm in my presence. I build rapport easily and clients say they feel heard and cared for. My hope is that our connection will be the foundation of our work together.
I have received training in a number of different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT). My therapeutic approach with you will be tailored to your unique needs, personality, and preference.
One of my specializations is working with clients struggling in their relationship with food and their body. I draw upon my training as an Eating Disorder Therapist and Intuitive Eating Counsellor to help you break free of the dieting cycles the are keeping you trapped.
I offer the unique perspective of being in my own recovery from an eating disorder. I can empathize with the pain that you are experiencing and how hopeless change might feel. I am passionate about helping people find freedom and peace with food and their body. I have hope for you!
I’d be happy to connect with you to discuss how we might work together.
Professional Designations
My professional designations are a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. I am also a registered counsellor with the Crime Victims Assistance Program CVAP.
